Exciting News... I am going to 1st Grade!

This week was the final week of school!  I will be moving to 1st grade next year! I am excited for this change because I have always wanted to teach this grade.  While I will miss the independence of 4th graders, I am excited to finally be teaching the grade I have wanted.  

With that said, I am going to have to learn a lot this summer!  With the implementation of Common Core next year and a new grade level, I am going to be busy!  If you have any cool ideas please feel free to help me out by sharing.  I am thinking I want to do different themed units such as, back to school, fall/Thanksgiving, caterpillars/butterflies, halloween/bats, Christmas/Snowmen, etc.  I have been searching on TpT, Pinterest and TeachersNotebook for ideas.  It will come together!  Thanks for all the help/ideas!
